Welcome to the Official Website of the Monroe Volunteer Fire Department No. 1, Inc. located in Monroe, Connecticut! We are a 100% volunteer 501(c)(3) organization. Utilizing an Engine/Tanker, Engine/Rescue, Quint, Ford F-series utility pickup, Ford Crown Victoria, a Ford Expedition and Chief's Vehicle, we provide the best fire & rescue services to the Town of Monroe, Connecticut! We are neighbors helping neighbors, since 1923!

Tuesday December 2, 1014 - Monroe, Stepney and Stevenson Fire Departments responded to a residence on Countryside Drive for a report of smoke coming from the residence. Read more!

Saturday July 26, 2014 - Monroe Fire Department responded to a 2-car motor vehicle accident at Route 110 and Wheeler Road. One vehicle rolled over and trapped three victims inside. Read More.

Monday July 21, 2014 - Monroe Fire Department responded to 3 incidents, two of them being a small kitchen fire and the other, a fully-involved shed fire off of Route 111.

Tuesday July 1, 2014 - Monroe Fire Department and Stepney Fire Department responded to Northbrook Drive for a ruptured gas line.
